Layn Marlow

Biography

Layn Marlow was born and educated in Essex, then studied BA History of Art and Architecture at Reading University, where she also met her husband, Spencer. She worked in libraries and went to live in Belgium for three years, before getting a first class degree in Illustration from Southampton University. They now live in Hampshire with their son Theo, daughter Tegan, a hamster and a goldfish. Layn enjoys walks, cycle rides, knitting and karate.

The Isles of Scilly, where my Mum comes from.

A: 'Course you can - a house can't jump!
If you could have any super power what would it be?
The power to rewind and replay real life, so you could put right all kinds of mistakes in the world, and also, if you think of a really clever thing to say, you could make sure you say it at just the right moment.
What makes you laugh?
My dog, Rufus.
Who is your hero?
My husband, Spencer Marlow.
